Policies & Procedures

Dress Code — Strictly Enforced

Collared shirts are required for all Sunset Landing facilities. Cut-off tee shirts and denim jeans are not permitted. Shorts and pants must have belt loops — no gym shorts, athletic shorts, or pajama-style bottoms. Soft spikes only. No boots of any kind are allowed on the golf course or practice facilities.

Exception: Denim jeans are permitted during winter months only. They must be fully intact — no ripped or distressed jeans.

Tee Times Required

Tee times are required 7 days a week. Walk-ins are welcome but based entirely on availability. Tee times may be booked up to one week in advance online or by calling the Pro Shop at (256) 464-5050.

Pace of Play

We maintain an average pace of play of 4 hours and 12 minutes for 18 holes. Please be courteous and allow faster groups to play through. Groups that fall significantly behind pace may be asked to pick up.

Group Size

Groups are limited to a maximum of 4 players. Fivesomes are not permitted without prior authorization from the Head Golf Professional.

Course Care

Please repair your ball mark plus one additional mark on every green. Replace or fill divots in fairways. Help us keep Sunset Landing in great shape for everyone.

Cart Path Only — Par 3 Holes

All par 3 holes are CART PATH ONLY. Please consult the scorecard or ask a staff member for the current list of designated cart path only holes.

Greens and Tee Box Proximity

Carts must remain on the cart path at all greens and tee boxes. When the 90-degree rule is in effect, you may leave the path after passing the red tee box. Posts 30 yards in front of each green indicate where carts must return to the path.

Restricted Areas

Carts are not to be driven into wooded areas, ditches, or any hazards. Stay on designated cart paths and fairway areas.

Cart Path Only Conditions

When cart path only operations are in effect due to course conditions or weather, all four cart tires must remain on the path at all times without exception.

Valid Driver's License Required

A valid driver's license is required to operate any golf cart on the property, whether rented or privately owned.

Privately Owned Carts

Privately owned golf carts must be insured by the driver and approved by the Head Golf Professional prior to use on the course.

Non-Golfing Riders

Non-golfing riders in rented carts are subject to cart availability and may be restricted during peak hours on weekends. Please call ahead at (256) 464-5050 before bringing a spectator to confirm availability.
